Don Barber: Senior Procurement Manager - Halliburton.

Don Barber is an experienced purchasing professional with more than a dozen years of experience in a wide variety of manufacturing industries. In addition to his current position as Senior Procurement Manager for Halliburton’s Duncan Manufacturing Center – Halliburton’s largest manufacturing center, Don’s previous professional experience has also included service with Tyco Safety Products, Magna International Inc (automotive), The Potlatch Corporation (forestry products), Bosch Braking Systems Corporation (automotive), The James River Corporation (pulp & paper), and Amoco Polymers (engineered plastics). Don has also been involved with three different implementations of new business enterprise software systems, ranging from MARCAM to SAP to JDEdwards. He has dealt with an even wider variety of business enterprise software systems and, being a hands-on user, has proposed enhancements that have been adopted on a company-wide basis on numerous occasions.

Holder of a number of professional certifications, including the Certified Purchasing Manager (C.P.M.) certification awarded by the Institute for Supply Management (formerly the National Association of Purchasing Management), Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) certification awarded by APICS-The Educational Society for Resource Management (formerly the American Production and Inventory Control Society), and the Certified Manager (CM) certification awarded by the Institute of Certified Professional Managers. In addition to being a member of several professional associations, Don is also a life member of the Air Force Association and American Mensa Ltd organizations.
